US Flickr
Dear Flickr members,
We recently launched a new photo page towards the end of June. Because of the feedback from you, we’re moving the photo page in a direction that more closely resembles previous iterations of the product, but with contemporary design and the new framework that delivers photos so much faster than before.
These are the advantages of the new photo page:
*Moved the photo information back, so now it appears below the photo.
*The comments have been moved back below the photo as well.
*The text is now black on a white background.
If you have any feedback regarding the new photo page, positive or negative, please feel free to submit it using a new thread.
Please be aware that we are actively listening to feedback from our users to improve Flickr and your user experience.

Flickr auto-generates inappropriate (and invisible) tags for new photos
Hello,
I have just discovered that Flickr automatically generates tags when I upload a new photo - presumably based on some image recognition software - which are not visible to me, and which at least sometimes are inaccurate or even inappropriate.
I just did a test: uploaded a studio photo of my 10-years old daughter (dressed in a kids dress), with no tags, title or description. Within 10 minutes the photo was viewed more than 10 times. As I am a Flickr Pro user, I could see the detailed stats. What I discovered was that the photo was found 5…
18th rankedThanks for your feedback on this important issue. We agree that Flickr members should have more control over autotags, and we’ll add this soon. Also, until we can handle cases like this better, autotags like “bikini” and “swimsuit” are not appropriate, so they have been removed.

Organize your favorites into subsets
Having the ability to organize your favorites into subsets would be something I'd like to see.

Do you seriously show ads as part of people's photo slideshows?? Whose idiot idea was that? Can't you at least have ads off to the side?????

Stop Flickr loading like its on dial up..
Find someone to re-develop the site so it won't feel like a dial up connection..
I've noticed a huge change in loading speeds since the Yahoo takeover happened...
Since being frustrated with the speed I've had a look at other sites and they seem to load much faster.. Ergo.. Design/Coding needs change.
Inserting "Fetching more images" is not helping the speed..
It is a reminder that the developer had no other ideas.

Create a ratings system, where viewers can rate photos on various features such as composition, lighting, etc.
If Flickr were to have a ratings system that users could enable on individual photos, if desired, this would give an opportunity for viewers to provide feedback on various elements of the photo, such as framing, use of depth of field, emotional impact, etc. This would provide photographers with important feedback that would help improve their skills.

Provide a provision for blocking users posting images, in the comments section.
An optional feature, through preferences!
Some users are happy with others posting images (including group, or personal) in the comments section, but personally, I'm not.
So please give us the option.148th ranked -
Please update Flickr app for Windows Phone - it's very obsolette.
Please don't ignore Windows Phone - with new update it will get a lot of new users.

Sharing Collections (and not just albums)
It would be great if we could share Collections with non-Flickr users instead of sharing each albums that we add in those Collections.

Flickr is making a huge mistake
I noticed that Flickr is now requesting photo viewers to join Yahoo and provide personal information. The friends I have talked to say they just want to see the photos, not join Yahoo or fill in personal information. It appears now I have to find another photo site where my viewers don't have to join Yahoo just to view the photos. People just want to go to a site to see photos, that's all. Not start a new account. I'm really sorry to see you have taken this new strategy. I'll be moving on to something else.

Since 2011 I've been using Flickr by logging in with Facebook. Today I was told that I would have to create a Flickr account.
"But don't worry you'll still have access to your photos"
So I followed the instructions, created a Yahoo account and I'm now being treated as a new user and have lost access to my photostream. I saw that I could merge two accounts, but there was now option to merge an account using a Facebook login and I don't know a password or because I've never used one.
I'd just like access to my photos back.

Why the low photo resolution on the photo page?
What's with the super low resolution on the photo page? It's horrible! It looks like my photo's are from 1979! There's no way to see a larger view of the photo's! The photo's on photostream's are sharp and crisp while the enlarged photo on the Photo Page is very low resolution and looks out of focus. WHY?

Please do not allow download of photos
Allowing downloads of photos, specially high resolution ones, is not a good idea since there is no water mark either. Anyone can use these photos as their own and get away with it. I certainly would not like my photos to be downloaded, but the option does not exist for me.

Disapointed
I am disapointed in the most recent "improvments" to Flickr. The decreased functionality and sharing abilities make me want to delete my account and move elsewhere with my photos.

Yeah. Fire everybody.
In spite of a near universally negative reaction to your infinite scrolling search page debacle your staff has consistently responded to complaints with the same indifferent platitudes and draconian decrees coming just short of telling us to get used to it or sod off. If I dealt with a client in this manner somebody else would be cleaning out my desk because I'd already be out on the sidewalk. Everybody involved in this issue has hurt your reputation and damaged your credibility, from the developers who dreamt it up on down through the execs who approved it, the engineers who…
