Babies’ Day Out invites families with visually impaired infants to learn, play November 11

Babies' Day out is hosted by Region 10 Education Service Center.

Every year, Region 10 Education Service Center hosts an event for parents and their infants who have a visual impairment. It’s called Babies’ Day Out and it’s happening in Richardson on November 11.

While parents listen to a keynote speaker, vision teachers across Region 10 setup an amazing play area for infants and toddlers who are visually impaired, so their parents may gain more knowledge on how to teach their children who are visually impaired as well as meet other parents who also have children with severe vision issues.

Last year as a vendor, I observed parents and their children interact with two music therapists, enjoying lunch provided by Region 10 and making social connections with other families.
