KALISPELL — A suspect in a northwestern Montana convenience store robbery was arrested in the store's parking lot after his car wouldn't start.

Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry says 29-year-old Jeremy Curtis Conder was arrested Monday outside a Town Pump in Evergreen, just east of Kalispell.

Curry says someone called 911 at about 5:40 p.m. to report that a masked man with a gun had robbed the store and was sitting in a car.

Deputies and Kalispell police arrived and found Conder in the car, still trying to start it.

Curry said Conder had a BB gun that looked like a sub-machine gun.

Conder is jailed on suspicion of theft and robbery. He has not appeared in court.
