Taylor Swift Unites Republicans & Democrats, Facebook Study Shows
By Marissa G. Muller
Unless you’re one of her ex-boyfriends, Taylor Swift is as innocuous as pop stars come. She’s a feminist, she writes her own songs, she’s poised, she steers clear of cultural appropriation, and her music and messages are mostly appropriate for any age.
On top of that list, you can now add that her music appeals equally to Democrats and Republicans.

The non-controversial artist topped a list for least politcally polarizing musicians. For Election Day, Facebook — which has become known as a place where people expose their true colors and share their political beliefs, wanted or not — conducted a study to see what musicians and TV shows are the most and least polarizing among Democrats and Republicans. Its findings showed that Swift was the most liked artist across the spectrum, next to Elvis Presley, The Hollywood Reporter notes.
As for the act most beloved by Democrats? That title belongs to the Beatles, who are followed by Michael Jackson, Bob Marley and Lady Gaga.
On the opposite end of the political spectrum, George Strait holds that title for Republicans. He’s followed by Ted Nugent and Jason Aldean.
