Dennis Wells' job title at LSI Industries has changed quickly.
Wells was hired at the beginning of the month as the company's chief operating officer. At the time, LSI announced he would remain in that role for six months and then be appointed CEO following the exit of Bob Ready. Instead, Wells was promoted to CEO of the company last week. Now, the company has added the role of president to Wells' plate.
The president role was previously filled by Scott Ready, the son of former CEO Bob Ready.
Wells talked with the Courier earlier this month about his history in the industry and where he hoped to take LSI Industries when he became CEO of the Cincinnati-based lighting and energy systems manufacturer.
Caproni heads up web operations for the Business Courier.
