Buy a Shirt, Get a CD: Worldwide T-Shirt Sale is On

(Northern Hemisphere Model)

It's time to update the wardrobe. We've got the goods, plus an incentive: buy a shirt and we'll throw in some music. Once in a while we get an extra copy or two of a new CD, so we've cobbled them together and will randomly throw one in with your new shirt. We've got the latest CDs from Robben Ford, Susan Tedeschi, and Joe Bonamassa, among others.

(Southern Hemisphere/Middle East Model)

As evidenced by our visitor map below, we've got blues fans all over the world, so we have both Northern and Southern Hemisphere versions. Head to our Blues Collectibles Store to order yours. Promotion ends October 31st.

Big Bill Morganfield
"High Gas Prices"
Born Lover
Black Shuck

Big Bill Morganfield, the son of Muddy Waters, was born in Chicago in 1956, but was raised by his grandmother in Florida.  Many people may not know this, but Big Bill did not even pick up a guitar until after his father passed away in 1983.  He had been earning a living as a teacher, and taught himself to play.  It was only after years of apprenticeship that he released his first record in 1999.  And he has since earned a place in the spotlight in his own right, taking the Chicago blues and making it a part of him.

Big Bill Morganfield’s latest, on Black Shuck Records, is Born Lover.

Blues of the Month CD for October: The Robert Cray Band "This Time"

We're pretty sure, and we've counted twice, that This Time is Robert Cray's 18th release since he debuted in 1980. In that time he's been nominated for 13 Grammy Awards and  he's won 5 times.

We're excited to have This Time as our Blues CD of the Month.

As a member of the Blues of the Month Club, you'lll get a BluesMobile.com t-shirt, then a handpicked CD every month for a year. Makes a great gift. Hint.

Get full details in the Blues Collectibles Store.

We also have a few autographed copies of the latest releases from Ronnie Earl and Duke Robillard. Sales of these discs help keep the stream free for everyone. When they're gone, they're gone! You can also keep that stream running by picking up a T-shirt or shopping for CDs and more in our Amazon Blues Music Store.

Happy Birthday Kenny Neal

New Orleans' Kenny Neal celebrates a birthday this week, born October 14, 1957.

Kenny comes from a music family. His father Rufal in a harmonica player and his brothers often play in his band. Kenny has a Canadian connection too, having been a member of the Downchild Blues Band. In 2006 Kenny took a year off to battle hepatitis C, but thankfully has returned to action.

Here's a clip from from Kenny's most recent CD Blues Fallin' Down Like Rain
