The West Texas Geological Society (WTGS) will present $32,000 in scholarships thanks to the work of the West Texas Geological Foundation (WTGF). The board of the WTGF has solicited significant new funds to promote higher scholarship amounts and fund two new scholarships in 2013.

This year we had 29 applicants for the WTGS scholarships thanks to the efforts of the Scholarship Committee which started working in November to get the word out to high schools, colleges, and universities in the region. We had so many worthy applicants that choosing fourteen scholarship recipients was challenging.

We are proud to announce our 2013 Scholarship recipients.
