Bids and Vendor Opportunities

Doing Business With Texas Parks and Wildlife

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) Purchasing Guide for Vendors is designed to assist you in better understanding our agency's purchasing needs and requirements. It will also serve as an important business tool to help you successfully market your company to our agency with an eye toward increasing your level of HUB participation with TPWD. This guide was developed around what appear to be the two most important frequently asked questions by service and commodity providers.

What products and services does your agency purchase?
and
Who has the ability to make these purchases?

To answer these questions it is first necessary to understand the primary function of our agency. Our mission is:

To manage and conserve the natural and cultural resources of Texas and to provide hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation opportunities for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.

To ensure that we succeed in the performance of this mission, it is necessary that we acquire a large variety of goods and services.

The level of HUB participation in the agency's purchases of goods and services needs to be enhanced. Toward this end, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is committed to providing procurement and contracting opportunities for women and minority owned businesses.

In accordance with statewide HUB policy, TPWD will make a good-faith effort to increase opportunities for certified HUB in the purchase of all goods and services in accordance with the following goals:

Only through an aggressive HUB program and your active participation and involvement in our procurement process can these goals be achieved. We look forward to many mutually beneficial business relationships.
