Samsung teamed up with the United States Postal Service and Newgistics to help consumers who are willing to take responsibility in recycling their old toners and keep the environment clean. It's three small steps for green consumers and one giant leap for mankind.

Mail Back Program

The Samsung mailback program allows you to ship any Samsung branded end-of-life product, including televisions up to 50 lbs, to our recycling partner. Samsung Recycling Direct (SRD)

Samsung Electronics has been an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year for the past three years, achieving Award for Sustained Excellence in 2013. We share the ENERGY STAR vision of GHG mitigation. Through our industry leading Samsung Recycling Direct program, we are facilitating the movement of removing old electronic products off the power grid, of any brand; and replacing them with energy efficient Samsung televisions and other energy efficient Samsung CE and IT products. Samsung Electronics recognizes that e‐waste is the fastest growing segment of waste in the industrialized world, demanding enough transportation in a year to line up delivery trucks half way around the globe. Samsung Electronics is very serious about being a part of the solution. From the inception of the SRD program, Samsung has held steady to its principles of protection for the environment, people and developing countries. The SRD program has always supported responsible management of e-waste material and we oppose export of unprocessed materials to developing countries. Samsung is the first manufacturer to participate with the e-Stewards Enterprise program, which provides third party validation our statements of principle. Sustainable Materials Management (SMM) Electronics Challenge

The goal of EPA's SMM Electronics Challenge is to advance the responsible management of used electronics by challenging manufacturers of electronics to voluntarily commit to sending 100% of used electronics collected for reuse and recycling to third-party certified recyclers, increasing the total amount of used electronics collected for reuse and recycling, and publically posting information and data.

The SMM Challenge will recognize manufacturer programs within a tiered structure (Bronze, Silver and Gold), which contain increasingly comprehensive requirements.
