      Robert Natiello In a similar result when 10 people are employed and there are no layoffs we have 100% unemployment. I doubt anyone can site accurate unemployment statistics unless they count those who have gone past the 6 month UE benefits.22 days ago

      Errol Anderson There is no way the U.S. unemployment rate is below 6%. Try 15% to 17%. The U.S. labor participation rate is only 63%, a 30 plus year low. Traders ignore this stat as it is not a true reflection of American employment and meaningless to markets. 3 days ago

      Gary Wilson It would appear that Mr. Buffett is merely connecting the dots...i.e., Berkshire has a very low cost of capital and he needs to grow, so you buy into a consolidating industry, provide cheap financing, finance the retail purchase and sell them car insurance before they leave the dealership.
