Manage your extensions

You can manage your Chrome extensions in the following ways:

  • Rearrange them on the browser toolbar
  • Show or hide them on the toolbar
  • Turn them on or off
  • Change their settings

What are extensions?

Rearrange your extensions on the browser toolbar

In the extensions area to the right of the address bar, click the icon you want to move and drag it to its new place.

Show or hide extensions

  1. Place your mouse on the right edge of the address bar. Your pointer will turn into a right arrow.
  2. To hide extensions, click and drag the address bar to the right. To show the extensions you’ve hidden, click and drag the address bar back to the left.

Turn extensions on or off

  1. Click the Chrome menu icon Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Tools > Extensions.
  3. To turn off an extension, uncheck Enabled for that extension. To turn on an extension, check Enabled for that extension.

Change extension settings

  • On the Extensions page, find the extension you want and click the Options link. This will take you to the advanced options page. Not all extensions have advanced options settings.
  • If you want extensions to show up in incognito windows, check the Allow in incognito checkbox.

See your extensions on any computer

To see your extensions on any computer or device you use, simply sign in to your Google Account on Chrome. Your extensions will be automatically synced.
