Weekend Challenge: Short and Spooky

Hey there, my startling swarm of spooks,

In honor of our yearly tradition, this weekend we've got a SpOoKy Challenge for you. The idea is do something odd, something spine tingling, something creepy or freaky or straight up scary in under a minute.

One way to tackle this might be to do what Alba Lange did -- tell a story. Entertain yourself with this eerie illustration of the oddity of misremembering something (also a great example of sound design adding to the mood):

I'm sure we've all told or heard scary stories, usually at a sleepover (in front of a mirror in a dark bathroom, if Bloody Mary was a part of your childhood). I was inspired by a thread over on Reddit that asked "Whats the best horror story you can come up with in two sentences?" A few favorites were:

"Don't be scared of the monsters, just look for them. Look to your left, to your right, under your bed, behind your dresser, in your closet, but never look up, she hates being seen."
-- AnarchistWaffles

"You get home, tired after a long day's work and ready for a relaxing night alone. You reach for the light switch, but another hand is already there."
-- madamimadamimadam

"Day 312. Internet still not working."
-- fluffyponyza

Another way to participate is to focus on a spooky subject, like this good 'ole Arachnophobia inducing footage from Carl G Martin:

Maybe you want to try out some special effects? We've done two lessons about that (Scary Special Effects Part I and Part II), and last year we also taught you to create a prosthetic mask or a terrifying scene where Derek rips off Melissa's face!
If you'd like to be a little more tame, check out this DIY project about Handcrafting a Spooky Scene.

You could also just show us, like Jason Eisener does:

Any way you choose to do it, keep it short and spooky. If you've got it, haunt it.

Hi Cameron
I'm about to post my horror video, but with the opening and ending titles, the duration is 1 minute and a half, is that ok? Without the credits the film runs for less than a minute.

If "Twick or Tweek" doesn't win there is no justice. The atmosphere and the sound track are just right.
