ROSTRAVER (KDKA) – Police are investigating after an elderly woman was tied up during a home invasion in Rostraver early Tuesday morning.

According to a Tribune-Review report, the incident happened on German Street around 6:45 a.m.

The woman answered the door and three men forced their way inside. One pushed her against the fridge, before another led her to the bedroom and tied her up.

In addition to tying her up, they threatened to harm her dog if she did not help them open a safe in the house.

The suspects fled the scene with an undetermined about of cash and jewelry.

Two of the suspects were described as being white. The third was described as being a light-skinned African American weighing about 250 pounds. All three suspects were said to be about 6-feet-2-inches tall.
