Customer Reviews

Perfect!

I'm new to flickr and I just love it. ! I don't usually write reviews but flickr and this app deserve recognition.. I'm a little weary about losing all my pictures so I keep a back up of them on an external hard drive, but that's just not enough for me.. I was using google drive but it's just not enough memory. Another great thing about Flickr is the ability to filter through tags.. My entire picture collection is tagged and since I upload to flickr using lightroom all the tags are recognized by flickr and this app. !! That's just awesome ! I've been using flickr for half a day now and I'm already In love lol now I have access to all my pictures and tags which is just fantastic! I can find a picture of my childhood pet in just seconds out of thousands of pictures! All at my fingertip! 😁😁😁

Glad the reviews are coming around

I've had a flickr account for years now. I read a lot of the angry reviews after the latest version earlier this year. I get that it's similar to Instagram, but I think it's deeper than that app and site. Unless you're a genius there are only so many ways to simplify things. I don't have too much use for the filters, I take most of my pictures with my d5300 and then use Lightroom. It's nice to have for my 5s though. I think it's deeper and has more communities and is more customizable than Instagram. It has better photographers and pictures on average too. Instagram is mostly smartphones after all.

Unethical - Harvesting - SNEAKY

This is a yahoo product. I got rid of yahoo for a host of reasons including being hacked repeatedly, harvesting and other issues. Some of those issues surfaced again with this sneaky app. When FLICKR allows you to sign in using your Facebook account, they neglect to tell you that your FB account must be associated with a Yahoo account. They tell you this AFTER you've successfully signed in using FB - AFTER they've harvested your email, friends list, contacts, DOB and other personal data. After they harvest this info, THEN they tell you that your FB account must have a Yahoo account associated it...if you don't create a yahoo account and change you FB EMAIL to that yahoo email account, you can't use FLICKR. Worse, they have already harvested your FB data. This is sneaky and deceitful in my opinion and I don't think it should be part of the Apple Store.
