It's apparently not Mission: Impossible to pull off a secret wedding in Hollywood.

Jeremy Renner, 43, has revealed that he quietly married Canadian model Sonni Pacheco, who's the mother of his 17-month-old daughter, Ava Berlin. Then on Tuesday, the Kill the Messenger actor flashed his wedding ring at a movie screening in Washington, D.C.

In an interview with Capitol File, he responded "Yes" and flashed a smile when asked if he's married to Pacheco, but provided no details about the nuptials, saying only, "I have tried to protect my family's privacy, my wife's privacy. I don't need her to get hammered with my life. Privacy issues are important because I want her to go about her day without being bothered."

He said he kept his marriage news a secret because he feels hounded by paparazzi when he's out with Pacheco and baby Ava.

"Paps follow me, [and] that's fine. But it's annoying being followed when I'm with my family," he said. "It's not just me — everyone [in Hollywood] has to deal with that. I've been talked about a whole lot, because the less I put out there, the less people know, and it makes it interesting, I assume."

In the same interview, he went on to talk about fatherhood, which he described as "the greatest."

"It's the best thing I have ever done — doing it later on in life. By then I achieved a lot of things that I wanted to achieve; I'm so blessed for that," the two-time Oscar nominee said. "Now I can really spend time with family. The only thing I think about when I'm not with my baby is, 'How do I get to my baby?' I need to get to her, and I'm very miserable when I don't see her. I really love being a father. The only that has changed is my perspective on things. I still work, probably even more. It used to be all for myself so I'm not old and broke. All these things I still do, but I do it now for the future of my baby, and if it gets in the way of her well-being, then I stop. I can't wait for her to get older, but I really enjoy her now."

And it looks like little Ava may have to wait until she's older to tie the knot like her father. "As a father, I'm going to make it very difficult for her to find a man," he quipped.

Renner's love life has been the target of rumors over the years. In 2011, however, he candidly admitted that with his professional career thriving, he was looking for a woman to settle down with.

"There've been a handful of girls over the last years. But it's been very difficult. How does it go any further?" he told Details. "I have a wonderful life, but it means nothing if it cannot be shared. That's all I'm missing right now. It's a little unbalanced for me. Right now the only thing consistent in my life is that little dog. That's why I got it. I was getting really lonely. I needed somebody or something to be there with me through the whole journey."

Well, it looks like he found that special someone.
