Geoscientists-In-the-Parks
PartnersThe National Park Service has formed several partnerships in order to sustain and expand the Geoscientists-In-the-Parks (GIP) program. The Geological Society of America's GeoCorps™ America Program advertises the majority of the GIP positions (approximately 50 positions annually) and provides a convenient on-line application system. You must be a member of GSA to apply for a GeoCorps - GIP position (student membership costs $25). For information about GeoCorps GIP positions, see GSA's GeoCorps™ America website: rock.geosociety.org/g_corps National Association of Geoscience Teachers Geoscience Teachers-in-the-Parks (GTIP) supports positions for earth scinece teachers at Mammoth Cave National Park, in cooperation with the park's Research Learning Center. The GTIP program will likely expand to include additional national parks in the future. AWG partners with the Geological Society of America to sponsor several GIP positions each year.
