Easter Egg Roll
136 Years of Fun
On Monday, April 21st, 2014, the First Family hosted the 136th annual White House Easter Egg Roll. This year’s theme was “Hop into Healthy, Swing into Shape,” and more than 30,000 people assembled on the South Lawn to join in the fun. The event featured live music, sports courts, cooking stations, storytelling, and, of course, Easter egg rolling. In addition to all of the fun, the day’s activities encouraged children to lead healthy, active lives in support of the First Lady’s Let’s Move! initiative.

Easter Egg Roll Poster Contest
The White House invited all elementary and middle school students to submit poster designs that highlight the theme of the 2014 Easter Egg Roll, “Hop into Healthy, Swing into Shape,” and promote the First Lady’s Let’s Move! initiative to help kids grow up healthy and have the opportunity to reach their full potential. The First Lady selected the winning design, which were used as part of the White House 2014 Easter Egg Roll program. Check out the winning designs.
