Texas Rangers joined other law enforcement officers at a #search near McCook. Three men fled when a DPS trooper approached their truck. Bundles of #drugs and a handgun were found inside the truck.

Several law enforcement agencies are near McCook searching for people. The CHANNEL 5 NEWS crew at the scene spotted Border Patrol agents, DPS troopers, Hidalgo County sheriff’s deputies and Starr County sheriff’s deputies in the area. Two helicopters are flying over the field.

#Brownsville police arrested a 19-year-old in #Edinburg on a charge of online solicitation of a minor. The man’s accused of harassing a child under the age of 16.

Police said the man solicited the child for sexual favors through #socialmedia. The 19-year-old is waiting to be officially charged. #rgv
