The Texas DPS Polygraph School is now accepting applications for Class 18. The school will run from April 12 to June 18, 2010.
Congratulations to the new examiners of Class 17 who graduated from the Texas Department of
Public Safety Law Enforcement Polygraph School on June 19, 2009.
Special Congratulations also to Class 17 students Robert Heffernan and Robert Young. Heffernan
was awarded the Thomas A. Davis, Jr. Award for highest class GPA and Young was awarded
the School Director's Award for overall outstanding student.
The Texas DPS Polygraph School is now accepting applications for Class 18.
To be considered for Class 18, applicants must: complete and submit a Texas DPS Polygraph School
application, be a U.S. citizen, must not have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor of moral
turpitude, be a full time employee of the law enforcement agency sponsoring the student and have
at least five (5) years of law enforcement investigative experience or a four (4) year degree
from an University.
Students applying from the state of Texas must also have a Texas licensed polygraph examiner who
has agreed to sponsor the student during the intern licensing portion of the Texas Polygraph
Examiner’s Board licensing process.
