Raw video shows the moment a Chicago commuter train jumped the tracks and barreled to the top of an escalator at O'Hare International Airport.
The accident occurred around 3 a.m. Monday and injured more than 30 passengers. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating how the accident happened, looking into a mechanical failure and operator error.
The video, released by the Chicago Transit Authority, shows the approaching train, the moment of impact and the train climb the escalators toward the camera. Bystanders run as dust and smoke fill the area.
A Chicago Transit Authority train car rests on an escalator at the O'Hare International Airport station after it derailed on March 24. Thirty-two people were injured after an eight-car commuter train plowed across a platform and scaled an escalator at one of the nation's busiest airports.
