Information about the Albuquerque Housing Authority.

Albuquerque Housing Authority provides housing assistance programs to low income families, elderly and disabled households.

The Albuquerque Housing Authority mission is to assist eligible households with decent, safe and affordable housing, to include living environments that promote economic self-sufficiency, upward mobility and social diversity.

Programs &  Services

In Albuquerque, an estimated 60,000 low and moderate-income families are spending more than 30 percent of before-tax income on housing.

HUD standards say that these families are burdened by excessive housing costs. Albuquerque Housing Authority administers programs designed to help these Albuquerque citizens with housing, rent subsidies and to help them become self sufficient.

Currently, Albuquerque Housing Authority is assisting nearly 5,100 Albuquerque families with their housing needs.  View eligibility information.
