Even if you aren’t an aviation geek, GE Aviation’s Learning Center is pretty cool.

I first saw the building when I went to see Congressmen Brad Wenstrup and Mike Turner, who had stopped by to see a test-firing of GE Aviation’s top-secret new ADVENT engine.

The learning center is a place for GE to showcase its technology and capabilities, and it is one of the few buildings on the Evendale campus that doesn’t require a security clearance to enter. Members of the public, however, are required to book a tour and be accompanied by a GE employee to visit.

The building showcases many of the engines GE has produced throughout its history, from the first jet engines built in response to Nazi Germany’s work on jets in the 1940s during World War II to the most modern engines used to power passenger and military jets today.
