Today's blog is brought to you by Tiffany McKinzie Interior Design, offering some tips on how to beat the post-holiday blues.
It's that time of year when we all seem to be in need of a little pick me up & some motivation. The tree has come down, the stockings are no longer hung by the chimney with care, the gifts have all been opened, the room is feeling bare. So now what? Here are some tips to help bring post-holiday cheer back into your home:
Rearrange your furniture and accessories. You don't need to go out and buy new in order to get a fresh feel. Try moving key pieces around and see how you like it. Create a different seating arrangement, try putting a chair in a spot you wouldn't normally think to put it, move accessories from one place to another. It's fun and brings new life to the room & best of all, you can change it back if you don't like it.
The restoration studio occupies a unique place in a multifaceted art world. Although the studio Brown Mountain Art Restoration does not create original art, it must be comprised of individuals who thoroughly understand the creative process and who are able to “climb behind the eyes” of the artists whose works have been entrusted into their care. In a sense, they become distant collaborators, committed to restoring not only the work of art, but to recapture the vision of the original artist, as well.
Brown Mountain Restoration has worked to restore and preserve both sentimental and fine art pieces for more than 20 years. Tucked away in East Dallas’ vibrant and bustling Knox-Henderson corridor, its team of conservators and artists have earned an enviable reputation from collectors, designers and galleries, many of whom return again and again for the studio’s services.
GREMILLION &CO. FINE ART, INC. is pleased to present an exhibition of recent work entitled Liminal Spaces by the American painter Elizabeth Chandler. The opening reception will be held Thursday, January 9th from 6-8 p.m. at their showroom on 2501 Sunset Blvd., Houston.
