I had to tell you how happy I am tonight to finally have a bluetooth product that works as it should and enables me to remotely program Arduino boards. I am
sooooo happy I could kiss you guys a thousand times. EZ LINK works fabulous
and should be the Arduino product of the year. Thanks again and great work.

Bluefruit EZ-Link – Bluetooth Serial Link & Arduino Programmer – v1.0: We are excited to add another product to our growing Adafruit Bluefruit line, this time it’s the Bluefruit EZ-Link: the best Bluetooth Serial Link device ever made. Like you, we have purchased all sorts of Bluetooth serial link modules, with high expectations – we just wanted something that worked! But nothing ever did exactly what we wanted: there was always some configuration modes to wade through, and using one of those other modules to reprogram an Arduino is impossible. So we did what we always do, we went in and engineered something better. Something that works!

The Bluefruit EZ-Link is a regular ‘SPP’ serial link client device, that can pair with any computer or tablet and appear as a serial/COM port (except iOS as iOS does not permit SPP pairing). But here is where it gets exciting: unlike any other BT module, the EZ-Link can automatically detect and change the serial baud rate… (read more)

today my Bluefruit EZ-Link arrived in the mail. eehaa…

i had it hooked up to my menta data logger in under 10 minutes (including
soldering the header and jst plug)

the pairing on my macbook pro was effortless and using the arduino ide
terminal the data that was recorded on the sd card was echoed back to my
laptop screen in real time…

i’d say you hit a home run right out of the park on this one…well done to
the whole adafruit team…

I am a real new user. Never used Linux before. I purchased a R-PI to do something different for christmas and fell in love with it. I personally found Occidental a lot more user friendly since I have been working the projects in the Raspberry PI tutorials. There are instructions on how to adapt the work for Wheezy (which is my only other OS). I am so scarred of screwing up an O.S. I tread lightly, but for a total new user to this element of computer use (not just clicking on a mouse and getting something to work), I found the Occidental user friendly. Just my opinion. Kudos to Lady Adafruit and her team!!!!!!!!!

Thank you again, all of you.

Hi! I don’t know if you folks read replies of this nature on average to this address, but I just want to say I love your company and watched a bunch of your videos. I’m just a spud with electronics and my skills all revolve around multimedia production, but I think you have one of the best websites around for getting into electronics and working with microcontrollers.

Seriously, your tutorials are great and really got me into working with arduino and basic LED stuff which has been a ton of fun! Over the last year or so, I spent a lot of time making some sculptures combining polymer clay and some components I got from you fine folks with a few arduino units I also got from you too. Basically they are just fancy one of a kind mood lights right now, lol. Unfortunately I admit I had to use some overpriced parts from radioshack as well since that is all we have here in Chicago in my local area, wish you had a Chicago operation! I’d love to hear what you all think of this video and the sculptures with electronics I put together if you have the time of course. :)

Thanks for being YOU! Cheers!

A fan in Chicago,
Jonah

I got my waveshield tonight and put it together in a few hours. It’s been a long time since I did any soldering, but the web tutorial was great. I had a lot of fun. Thank you for doing this. It brought me a lot of joy – and the fun’s only just begun.

Hi, this isn’t technically a product feedback request, but you didn’t leave an option for leaving accolades. As such, I really just wanted to drop a note to say a big THANK YOU for the great work you do. I purchase a lot of adafruit products from a reseller here in Canada and I’m very impressed with the quality of your products. Moreover, I sincerely appreciate the open source nature of the software and hardware designs.

Best regards,
Dan

Hi,

I have to tell you that I purchase electronic goods from many other businesses, both here in South Africa and from other countries, but you are BY FAR the MOST EFFICIENT when it comes to processing and shipping an order :-)

Thank you, it is an ABSOLUTE PLEASURE doing business with you.

Regards
Andre

PS. Your Tutorials are also the best I have seen!

Re: Tutorial suggestion by jgilbert

First of all, let me say that Adafruit rocks. I have ordered a ton of gear for RPI and Arduino in the last 2 weeks and found it to be the best documented and best supported from any of the retailers I’ve worked with.

Dear Ms Fried,

There wasn’t a category for “amazing turn around” so I selected the one
closest. I simply can’t believe how fast you folks are.

I spent a great deal of time researching procurement for my Arduino projects
and I am terribly glad I chose Adafruit Industries for my exploration of
electronics.

You’ve made an old UNIX admin very excited about technology again.

Be well.

Scott
