Planned Giving

Planned giving is just that—a carefully considered strategy for giving.

It’s also a tremendous opportunity to meet your charitable goals at a level you may not have thought possible—while at the same time provide a financially secure future for you and your family.

Working with our planned-giving experts, you can choose to give an outright gift or defer your giving through a bequest. You can even take advantage of a charitable gift annuity or other life-income gift that enables you to establish a legacy now and still provides you with an income during your lifetime.

Deferred gifts are gifts that will benefit UNT in the future and in many cases enable the donor to make a larger contribution to the future of the university. Several different deferred vehicles are available, including:

  • Bequests
  • Charitable gift annuities
  • Charitable trusts
  • Life insurance
  • Retirement plan gifts
  • Retained life estates

You can also use a combination of gift vehicles to create a long-lasting gift to UNT that is as beneficial to you as it is to the university.
