The Department of Linguistics and Technical Communication houses the premiere Writing Lab, which offers free tutoring to all UNT undergraduate students as well as the Technical Communication Lab, a fee-based lab for students currently enrolled in technical writing courses.
The Writing Lab offers free tutoring to all UNT undergraduate students and helps students in all disciplines—from English Composition students to science and engineering students.
You can meet with a tutor in person at our location in the Auditorium Building, or you can participate in an online tutoring session, which allows you to discuss a paper or ask questions from the comfort of your own home or office—anywhere you may have internet connection.
More than 7,000 students a year improve their writing skills through help provided at the Writing Lab. Visit the Writing Lab web site for more information and to schedule your appointment.
