Awards Nominations

Division Recognition Awards

The Staff Development Committee coordinates the annual Division Recognition Awards. The Awards are a great opportunity for you to acknowledge the wonderful contributions of your staff and to recognize the programs and services your department offers.

General Criteria

  • Individual awards are based on nominations; self nominations and nominations outside of your department are also acceptable. Nominators have to complete a nomination form that answers specific questions regarding how the nominee meets the criteria of the award. Letters of recommendation will not be accepted.
  • An individual, group, or department is not eligible for an award they have received within the past two years.
  • Nominations within your department are limited to two people per award per department.
  • The nomination forms are designed to be anonymous. Please ensure that the nominee's name is not used on the bottom portion of the nomination form. For example, instead of saying "Jane Smith has been successful…" state "The nominee has been successful…" Any nomination form with a nominee's name in the justification will be disqualified.

Voting

Members of the Staff Development Committee have identified a neutral party of students, faculty, and staff members to evaluate nominations specifically assigned to them; faculty and staff members may not be employed within the Division of Student Affairs. Each evaluator will receive a nomination packet including directions, completed anonymous nomination forms for their specific assigned group, rating sheets, criteria information, and contact information for the Awards Committee.

Award Nominations can be submitted in Spring 2011.
