A Women's Circle From Classmates to Inmates: The School-to-Prison Pipeline

    in Current Events

Join A Women's Circle as we untangle the intersection between School-to-Prison Pipeline with special guest Professor Christopher Allen Mallett. Dr. Mallett is licensed in Ohio as a social worker and attorney, and has a long history of working with, advocating for, and representing vulnerable children, adolescents, and their families. The show will focus on the intersection between the public education and penal systems and how both of these institutions, in part, have put forth an effort to control and discipline school-age populations with similar institutional model. As equally important, the school to prison pipeline is amalgamation of a number of different trends-from the over representation of students of color in special education to the rise of zero tolerance school discipline problems; from an increased fear related to school safety to put perverse incentives from test-based accountability systems to push out low-performing students.  We will discuss interventions, and posits recommendations for further actions and policies changes at the state level, local level, school, community and in the home.  The aim of our show is to offer high-impact structural interventions.

    Kayla Berg missing

    in News

One of her brother's friends picked Kayla up at her father's house at about 8:30 p.m. The two arrived at McDonald's half an hour later. Kayla ran inside, talked briefly with her friend, and then left. She had told her friend she planned to ride around in the car for a while.
"The last we pretty much know about the story we have, is around 10 p.m.," said Antigo Police Chief Eric Roller. "The male says he dropped her off ... at her boyfriend's house in Wausau." Wausau is 34 miles from Antigo.
Sprenger didn't approve of the boyfriend. "I didn't feel comfortable that he was 19 she was 15," she said.
The brother's friend said he last saw Kayla when she got out of his vehicle and walked toward a house she said was that of her boyfriend.
No one else saw Kayla get out of the car, Roller said, but investigators were able to confirm that the 24-year old driver returned at midnight to his parents' house in Deerbrook, about 45 minutes away.
Six days later, on August 17, Kayla's mother reported her missing.
A reward is being offered by Kayla's family for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for her disappearance. An additional reward is being offered by Langlade County Crimestoppers.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Langlade County Police at (715) 627-6411 or Crimestoppers at (715) 627-6245.  http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/06/21/grace.coldcase.kayla.berg/

The Real Deal Bible Study With Minister Akaiha on FORGIVENESS

    in Current Events

Welcome Royal Family & I greet you with the joy that comes from knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God's has an awesome purpose and plan for our lives. Even Greater Things (John 14:12). We are so excited you have tuned in today. . Praise the Lord for the great things He has done!
As our ancestors would say " I'm a nobody trying to tell everybody about somebody who can save everybody". I pray that God will enabled you to further open your eyes and ears to Gods' word.  Today show is all about FORGIVNESS !!!
    JUDGES
The Hebrew word for ’judges’ is shaphat which means saviours/deliverers. In the pure grace of God, He raised up saviours for His people from time to time, during these 200-300 years, to deliver them from their enemies and from themselves!
The book of Judges covers a very dark period in the life of Israel, spanning roughly 300 years.
The spiritual climate of this period can be summarized by this sentence: In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes. (Judges 17:6, 21:25).
    .
“God is not just in the church; He is also in technology. My mission is to empower people spiritually. “Walking with God is to stand where God stands, and to fight for whom God fights: the poor, the weak, the powerless and the defenseless. Walking with God is to have the courage to know that fear and trepidation before the might of the powerful is overturned by the fear of the Lord! Walking with God is to understand, without doubt or equivocation that justice is what Yahweh requires. Queen Akaiha Loves you ~ Ashe Selah

Dennis Brooks: Atlantis Pyramids Floods: Why Europeans Are White

    in News

This book is a compilation of writings, which tell about the Atlantis civilization and the flood that destroyed it. Also, the conclusion leads to an explanation about why Europeans are white.  It seems that the destruction of Atlantis was the result of a natural disaster that dug a series of craters across North America; the craters are now called Carolina Bays. These craters might be the key to solving the mystery of what destroyed Atlantis and caused the Great Flood. Evidence of the cataclysm is permanently etched into the landscape giving us a signature of the event. This particular destructive act of nature seems to have been caused by a shower of comet fragments. The comet probably broke up in space and the larger fragments followed each other to earth.  The fragments broke up again as they entered Earth’s atmosphere and hit the ground as bullets of ice, water, and debris. They created elliptical depressions when they slammed into the earth. These craters are concentrated along the Atlantic seaboard within the coastal states of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, and even as far away as Nebraska. In Maryland, they are called Maryland Basins. Fragments also landed in Mexico, the Gulf of Mexico, and in the Atlantic Ocean.  Looking at the impact sites, it is easy to imagine the amount of damage the incoming fragments could cause. Scientific research has also found that there are icy comets in outer space, further supporting the theory that comets brought water to earth.
