Effective July 1, 2013, the Corporations Bureau of the NM Public Regulation Commission was transferred to the Business Services Division of the Office of the New Mexico Secretary of State in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This move is a result of a Constitutional Amendment that was passed by the electorate in the November 2012 General Election and subsequent enabling legislation passed during the 2013 legislative session that now provides the Secretary of State (SOS) statutory authority to charter corporations.
