The 2014 Major League Baseball regular season brought us so many good moments. Derek Jeter and Paul Konerko said goodbye while young stars like Giancarlo Stanton and Mike Trout look to follow in their footsteps. Veterans like Miguel Cabrera, Robinson Cano, Andrew McCutchen and Jose Bautista showed they still have it while Victor Martinez put up a career year at age 35. And so much more.

The 2014 Major League Baseball regular season brought us some bad memories. From the myriad Tommy John surgeries to the crushing collapses in cities like Toronto, Milwaukee and Seattle to disappointing campaigns in Boston, Texas and Cincinnati to drug-related suspensions to the debacles that were the new catcher collision rule and how terrible the new replay system is.

The 2014 Major League Baseball regular season saw the Nationals and Angels bounce back from disappointing 2013 seasons to achieve the best record in each league. It gave us the Orioles' first division championship since 1997 and the Royals' first playoff berth since 1985. It gave us the Giants again making the playoffs in an even-numbered year while the Dodgers, Tigers and Cardinals again won their divisions. We saw the Pirates make their second straight postseason, the A's their third.

The 2014 Major League Baseball regular season gave us breakout seasons from Anthony Rendon, Michael Brantley, Josh Harrison, Yan Gomes and more. Anthony Rizzo and Starlin Castro bounced back on the North Side of Chicago while Jose Abreu announced his presence with authority on the South Side. And Jose Altuve became the first Astros player to ever win a batting title.

The 2014 Major League Baseball regular season showed us that Billy Hamilton can indeed steal loads of bases at the highest level, but that Dee Gordon can do it better.

The 2014 Major League Baseball regular season illustrated for us that Clayton Kershaw is still the best pitcher in baseball with the likes of Felix Hernandez, Max Scherzer, Adam Wainwright and Chris Sale still in the conversation. It also brought us newfound studs in Corey Kluber, Dallas Keuchel and Jake Arrieta.

The 2014 Major League Baseball regular season sends Adam Dunn to the postseason for the first time, leaving Alex Rios as the leader in active games played without a postseason appearance.

The 2014 Major League Baseball postseason gives us five different chances to a "natural interleague rivalry" World Series: Giants-A's, Dodgers-Angels, Pirates-Tigers, Cardinals-Royals and Nationals-Orioles.

The 2014 Major League Baseball regular season is over, but we've only just begun. Now the real fun begins.
