With software landing our planes, diagnosing our illnesses and keeping track of the wealth of nations, discovering how to make programs more reliable is hardly an academic question.

Number of MarTech Companies Doubles to 2000 in 2015

Social media and content marketing are among the biggest categories for marketing technology companies, while influence marketing, performance & attribution emerge.

I'm not surprised by this explosion but that doesn't mean that every company is one that should survive. There's a lot of sizzle, a lot of 'we can make this task look like a product' type of features that prey on ignorance and laziness that can only be counted on for the short-term. 

So while I'm thrilled with all of the innovation here it's up to marketers to select the good from the bad. Disclaimer: I advise for two such MarTech companies which may or may not be on this list..

Yeah, that's me trying to look all cool after doing one of the coolest things I've ever done. So I was SUPER bummed they wouldn't let me take a camera in, but just toured the +SpaceX facilities and it was everything I imagined it to be! I touched stuff that went into space!
