The Nexus was always sold as a Google experience phone but if you own an iPhone and install all the Google apps you got the same google experience. This made a lot of Android users mad. The so call enemy is getting apps first and the same experience. Now we know that the Nexus will be rebranded as G+ experience. G+ have all the user data. They killed latitude to rebuild a stronger app. The apps are not finish yet. They throw out beta product to fill it in with user data. Android app + google data equals a much more powerful app. One day your google+ experiences will be transform into a whole phone experience. The pieces always been there. All of G+ features are clone of android apps. Photos, locations, people, events etc. As G+ improve the G+ app replaces the android app.

G+ is your google identity. This is the key to everything. Your data follows you. This is why the Chromebook is so great. You never leave Google ecosystem. This is the difference between pre g+ Nexus phones and post G+. In quick setting you have your G+ profile. The dialer also connects to hangouts. Google version of imessage will be released on ios. All the ios user need is a google voice number. With the creation of Google+ they decided to use it as the main google experience aka user profile. Users who dont use Google+ wont get the same Google experience. Google maps before G+= plain app. Google Data is doing all this. On IOS the dialer is off limits, message, browser is limited etc and you can't set default apps. You can't change the launcher. That's the difference between android and ios. Software features are dead. Phone experience is the key to loyalty. Nexus devices are mobile Chromebook. Android is just the engine. ChromeOS/ android = merged via Google +. Android team work on the under hood changes while Google create new features. Nobody cares that android is not open it never was open to begin with Thats why its cohesive and not a mad house.

Apple I phone & the ios update: below is an e-mail corresponding with iTunes about an application StarMaker,,,,,,,,
I was trying to contact apples developer team that troubleshoots the
 apps that are submitted to them by the different individual app
 developers but specifying whoever deals with working on the starmaker
 issue alone......somehow I was referred to contact this dept . anyway
 the starmaker team has expressed having to wait on apple for their
 help in troubleshooting the issue & IS The same issue I am trying to
 complain about to YOU! - so basically I am doing whatever I can to
 hopefully light a fire under their butts AND YOURS ! APPLE HAS SOME
 NERVE TO CHARGE AS MUCH AS THEY DO FOR A PHONE THAT HAS ISSUES WITH
 APPLICATIONAL SOFTWARE AND RELEASE AN UPDATE TO WHICH CAUSES MORE
 UPSET THAN AN UPDATE SHOULD NOT TO MENTION TAKING THEIR SWEET TIME IN
 FIXING THE PROBLEMS FROM THE UPDATE

Google Now for iOS (but not for Android) still only shows events from my primary calendar.  Since my work calendar is a Google Apps calendar that is shared to my personal Google account, and I use my personal Google Account for Google Now, this means that I cannot see my work calendar events in Google Now on iOS.

Of course it may be possible to just add my work Google account to Google Now for iOS, but this is less than ideal. First, it shouldn't be necessary to configure things one way on Android, and another way on iOS.  Second, I generally try to avoid signing in with my work account to anything but Gmail, for all kinds of reasons (ensuring that search history just accumulates on the one account, because CalDAV is super ugly with my work account since every single coworker's calendar shows up which is unnecessary on a mobile device, etc.)

To sum up:  Event cards and notifications still don't work right with iOS Google Now.
