The new job is really good, there's been a lot to wrap up for the end of the year. Plus, there was a lot of reorganization in the first two months I was there, so the people I've been working with and their roles have changed. But it has settled down and I'm getting more comfortable.
I am certainly being challenged, but on things I never thought I'd be challenged on. I am managing the social technologies, but there's an added component I did not anticipate with budgeting and other financial forecasting. I'm fine doing that as it is great experience and knowledge to have, but I did not expect it.
Bosses are good too. I am in a rather small department. We are within a group called Market and Sell IT within the IT department. Our Marketing IT group has about 12 people, so we are a pretty close group.
