Rob Anderson is stepping down as Vandalia city manager.
Anderson announced he will leave the post at 5 p.m. Friday.
Vandalia’s city council will meet Wednesday night to accept his resignation and appoint an interim city manager.
“This is a decision I’ve contemplated for some time,” Anderson said in a statement. “The city is in great shape, and I feel this is the right time to move on to another challenge.”
He has served as city manager for about three years, and worked for Vandalia since 2006. Before that, he was a city planner for the city of Kettering.
