Planning & Regional Services

To keep up with the pace of growth, you have to be proactive. To cope with the unexpected, you have to be prepared. Through multiple programs and projects, such as 9-1-1 Emergency Communications, Homeland Security, Hazard Mitigation, Resource Conservation Transportation Planning, and Criminal Justice, Planning & Regional Services provides professional planning services to help protect and enrich our communities.

Central Texas Workforce System services are developed to promote the delivery of programs and services to meet the needs of business, industry, and workers. These services are designed to place Texans in jobs and to equip workers with the skills needed to foster economic development. The Texas Department of Agriculture announces the workshop schedule for the 2013 Texas Capital Fund Downtown Revitalization and Main Street Programs. The application and guide for both programs are readily available on-line from the Texas Department of Agriculture.

The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) has announced an award of over $3.5 million funding to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and its Springdale-based Schmieding Center for Senior Health and Education to support the development and dissemination of enhanced home caregiver training.
