Every year Bullrun tries to find a suitably glamorous location to start the rally. From Times Square, New York to Fremont Street in Las Vegas, the most glamorous rally in the world never disappoints. This year, once again, they’ve an incredible start line location – the AMAZING Hollywood Boulevard!
That’s right. Over 100 cars will line up in front of the DolbyTheatre (previously called the Kodak Theatre) on Saturday, June 23rd and prepare for the seven days of automotive mayhem that lies ahead! Get ready to start your engines Bullrunners! The rally drivers will be on Hollywood Boulevard from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The rally will officially begin with the waving of the green flag by a special guest star celebrity. Any guesses?

The first-generation Acura RDX was an answer to a question that few buyers were asking. It was relatively sporty, given it’s forced-induction four-cylinder engine and available Super Handling All Wheel Drive, but it was also a thirsty beast, returning just 19 mpg around town and 24 mpg on the highway in front-drive trim. I’m not really sure what’s crazier here; the fact that these nimrods are actually attempting to drift a fully loaded passenger bus, or the fact that the spectators are stupid enough to stand there and watch it happen. At this point we’ve all seen the videos of those crazy Saudi drifters slinging their Honda Accords and Toyota Camrys through the streets. A bus though? I mean really, wouldn’t it just be easier to simply throw yourself off a cliff? Hell, I know the motoring world would appreciate it.

Well it’s that time of year again, time for another running of the Bullrun Rally. The Bullrun Rally brings together 100 of the wildest and most dedicated petrol-heads in the world for a week long adventure that covers over 3,000 miles. That means 6 days of driving, 6 days of parties and 6 days of hanging out with some of the best people you’re ever likely to meet. This years rally will take competitors on a 3,000 mile loop that starts and finishes in Los Angeles, CA. During that time competitors will be treated to 5-star hotels, gourmet meals, track events and roads that are so spectacular that they must be seen to be believed.

In 1987 the 911 CTR Ruf Yellowbird developed 469 hp from its twin-turbo flat-six. It did 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds and would run flat-out at 211 mph. It was, for its day, one of the greatest super cars ever and helped secure RUF as one of the greatest car builders of all time. Now in 2012 RUF is still at, but this time with its brand new CTR 3. This car makes 691 hp, goes 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds and tops out at 233 mph. So, from a drivers standpoint, which car is better? Car and Driver recently got these RUF masterpieces together to find the answer to that very question.

Here’s the deal – if you want to have some cheap fun then do the following. Go out, spend $4,000 and buy a beat to death, rear-wheel drive hoon-machine and then take it rally driving. Chris Harris of Youtube’s DRIVE network recently did just this by way of a 170 hp BMW 325i and by the looks of it he’s having one heck of a good time!
