Central Office
DEQ's Division of Enforcement provides legal, policy and technical oversight in support of enforcement actions. In addition, the Division assists and coordinates successful statewide implementation of DEQ's Enforcement Program by developing policies and procedures, providing appropriate training to staff and assessing regional implementation. The Division's staff provides individual case advice to regional staff to include developing administrative enforcement and litigation positions, enforcement strategy, administrative hearing adjudication support, preparation and oversight of referrals to the Office of the Attorney General and enforcement coordination with federal, state and local officials. The Division of Enforcement staff also consults on multi-media cases and serves as liaison for state agency coordination.
Reports of any potential environmental crime should be forwarded to the Director of the Division of Enforcement. The Division coordinates the handling of criminal violations with other interested federal, state and local officials having jurisdiction over the criminal enforcement action.

Regional Offices
DEQ regional offices serve as primary contacts for permitting, compliance, pollution and enforcement response activities. In a majority of cases, DEQ regional staff provide early response to suspected violations and initiate enforcement actions.
To view the different regional office jurisdictions, visit DEQ's office locations page. The office locations page lists regional office functions, including compliance and investigation activities, and provides links to individual landing pages for DEQ's six regional offices. Individual regional office pages list other contacts for compliance and pollution response activities.
