As part of the Governor's Regulatory Reform Initiative, VDOE is seeking public comment on the Board of Education's current regulations. Comments may be submitted through February 28 to boe@doe.virginia.gov.
February is Career & Technical Education Month
Governor McDonnell recognizes the importance of programs that provide students with career development and exploration through core academic, employability and technical job-specific skills. Explore the academic laboratory – known as CTE – that makes instruction relevant for the more than 550,000 students in grades 6-12.
Virginia's public schools are beginning a new trend line with the implementation of more challenging standards and assessments.
