If you're a social butterfly, your Facebook stream is likely pretty cluttered from the hundreds (or even thousands) of "friends" you've managed to finagle a connection with. Pretty hard to keep up with it all, huh?

Imagine all of the noise on the page if you could be see what everyone on Facebook was doing all at once. While thankfully you can't read all of their updates or see their food posts, a web-based app lets you take a glimpse at everyone on Facebook, all in one place.

Technorati Top 100 listed tech blog The Next Web highlights The Faces of Facebook, a web-based app that micro-sizes every single one of the over 1.2 Billion user images on the social network, producing what looks like a bunch of television static.

The app displays who joined Facebook in chronological order from left to right, top to bottom. Hover over any of the tiny, colorful pixels and you'll see a number stating who joined when.

I zoomed in on the mega-sized image, until I found #1, and was provided the following message:

Click on any image, and the app will "zoom" in, showing you that person and everyone around them who joined at the same time. Each image is a link to their personal Facebook page.

When I clicked on Facebook user #1, I saw founder Mark Zuckerberg's image, of course, along with co-founders Chris Hughes and Dustin Moskovitz. Scroll arrows let anyone on the page scroll to see who joined up in the early, heady days of Facebook. Sort of like a who's who in social media rich dude circles.

The very interesting app is the product of tech designer Natalia Rojas, who says she isn't breaking any of Facebook's privacy rules, as her app doesn't store any of the information it displays.

Want to find yourself on the user image map? Simply click in the map and connect your Facebook account, to find yourself, your family, and your friends — and when they joined the network (and thus began losing productive time in their lives).
