Texas Back Institute (TBI) opened a new office in Fort Worth at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. The clinic is located at 3600 West Seventh Street at Montgomery Street in west Fort Worth.

UNT Health Science Center's medical students and residents will receive medical training in the care of spine patients through this clinic. Student rotation and residency programs are being established to support the educational mission of the health science center.

Shawn Henry, D.O., a spine surgeon with TBI, will be the primary spine specialist at the clinic.

Scott Blumenthal, M.D., spine surgeon and the president of TBI stated, "We are proud to extend our legacy of spine care, surgery and services to those who suffer from back injury and pain in both Fort Worth and Tarrant County. Dr. Henry completed his spine fellowship at TBI and we are fortunate to be able to keep such a talented physician on staff. "

Shawn M. Henry, D.O., board-eligible spine surgeon with the Texas Back Institute, completed his residency at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. He received his medical degree from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio.
