HODGE NAMED RESEARCH ASSISTANT PROFESSOR AT UNT HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER

LisaHodge.jpg Lisa Hodge, PhD, was recently appointed research assistant professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and Immunology at UNT Health Science Center.

Dr. Hodge’s research looks at respiratory immunology and new approaches to treat and prevent respiratory disease. She is also working on research to help determine how osteopathic manipulative medicine affects the immune system.

Dr. Hodge earned a bachelor of science degree in microbiology from the University of Texas at Arlington. She also earned a doctorate in microbiology and immunology from UNT Health Science Center.

Prior to her arrival at the health science center, Dr. Hodge was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she studied the effects of immune therapy on cancer. A native of Bedford, Dr. Hodge currently resides in Crowley.
