Regents’ public meeting gets headlines
Both the Fort Worth Business Press and the Star-Telegram printed articles following last week’s Board of Regents’ public meeting about the possibility of adding an MD school on campus. Opinions expressed at the meeting by those registered to speak were balanced almost equally between those who support further study into the possibility and those who think an MD school on campus would be a bad idea. HealthLeaders.com also posted the Star-Telegram’s article about the meeting.

New faces, new businesses featured in Star-Telegram
The Star-Telegram also included UNT Health’s announcement of the additions of Robert M. Carlson as administrative executive director for the Patient Care Center and B. Tasleyma Sattar, DO, in Family Medicine. The special Business Digest section featured TECH Fort Worth’s unique role of helping new and fledgling biotechnology companies grow. The Health Science Center is a partner in this unique business incubator, and TECH Fort Worth's Acceleration Lab is located on the Health Science Center campus. It also featured the announcement of Bruce Budowle, PhD, as executive director of the Center for Human Identification.
