Valerie Martinez-Ebers (’80, ’83 M.P.A.), professor of political science, co-wrote the book Latinos in the New Millennium: An Almanac of Opinion, Behavior and Policy Preferences, a comprehensive profile of Latinos that compares conventional wisdom regarding their attitudes and efforts to assimilate with the most recent empirical evidence.

In July 2012, UNT’s Department of Political Science will become the editorial home of the American Political Science Review, the profession’s most respected journal.

Christopher Wall, senior political science and economics major, was named a Minority Fellow by the American Political Science Association for 2011-12.

UNT’s assistant professors Cullen Hendrix and Idean Salehyan are researching the links between climate change and political instability in Africa.
