Providing a Healthier Future for a Changing World

We all want to be healthy, stay healthy and live long, productive lives. We want our doctors to not only make us well when we're sick, but also help us prevent illness in the first place. At the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, we're responsible for educating physicians, scientists, and other healthcare providers who can live up to those demands now and into the 21st century.

Our medical students learn comprehensive and compassionate health care that considers the family, not just the individual... the prevention of disease, not just the cure. Through the Willed Body Program in the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy, these medical students learn the skills they need to become tomorrow's health care providers.

The Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy is also the home of the North Texas Eye Research Institute. More than 20 scientists are studying diseases that affect virtually every part of the human eye so that we can better understand how to treat these diseases and make the quality of life better for future generations.
