The Preservation Department of the University of North Texas Libraries is responsible for protecting and maintaining materials in the Libraries' general collections, the Government Documents Department, the Music Library, and Archives & Rare Books. Consisting of the Processing Unit, the Bindery Unit, and the Preservation Lab, the Preservation Department provides services to the UNT Libraries and our surrounding communities. The Preservation Department repairs the libraries’ damaged circulating materials, prepares journals and dissertations for the commercial bindery, and processes new and gift materials.
