Biography

Dave has 29 years of experience in the insurance industry as an agency owner, agency president and producer. Dave has extensive experience within the technology, healthcare, fast food, distribution, and manufacturing sectors of the insurance industry.

Dave has been very involved in community affairs. His past community service includes serving as Chairman of the Board of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Wildflower Festival. He currently serves on the Boards of the Richardson Regional Medical Center Foundation and the Richardson Independent School District Foundation as well as serving as president of the Richardson YMCA Board. Dave served in numerous leadership positions at First United Methodist Church-Richardson including co-chairing the campaign to build their current campus. He has also served in leadership positions in the Dallas area for Special Olympics, American Heart Association and several organizations benefiting abused children. In recognition of his service to the community, Dave was selected as Richardson’s “Citizen of the Year” for 2003. He currently serve’s as campaign treasurer for Representative Angie Chen Button, President of Empowering Single Parent’s, and is on the board for the Professional Leadership Program at UNT.

Dave has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business and a Master’s degree in Counseling Education from Emporia State University. He has two daughters in college, Erica at Texas Tech and Brooke at the College of the Redwoods.
