Vote for the UNT team for the People’s Choice Award in the MBA Investment Case Study Challenge! The challenge, which is sponsored by Muddy Waters Research and The Economist, involves evaluating Zillow’s $3.5 billion acquisition of rival rea...l estate website, Trulia in a stock-only transaction.

Teams from 24 universities were required to produce a 15-minute video presentation explaining their analysis of the case study. They will compete for the following monetary awards:
• First place team receives $10,000
• Second place receives $5,000
• Third place receives $3,000
• People’s Choice receives $3,000

The UNT team is comprised of MBA students Danica Fiew, Bryan Smith and Serena Dang.

TD Ameritrade announced this morning that three UNT students – Sophomores Mason Hendrickson, Bao Lam, and Josu Leija, all members of UNT’s Student Investment Group - won the first-ever Thinkorswim Investment Challenge!

The Challenge is ...a virtual trading competition and UNT’s winning team, “GoMeanGreen,” racked up a 213% gain by increasing the value of a $500k virtual portfolio to over $1.5 million, and earned $30,000 for UNT as well as $3,500 and an ipad for each student. A second UNT team placed 4th in the competition.
