NEW CLASS IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP
MGMT 4980 – SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Fridays 9:00-11:50am
UNT-Main Denton Campus
This new course is designed to accomplish the following main objectives:
1. To help students identify a viable opportunity for a business design.
2. To provide students specific tools to design a business and the skills to execute a plan.
3. To increase students’ involvement in the community through entrepreneurial activities.
Besides the hands on experience of designing a business, the following topics are covered in order to provide the skills needed:
Economic and environmental context
Financial literacy
Motivation and leadership
Ethics in free enterprise
Business idea generation
Project execution.

Social Entrepreneurship offered in the Spring Semester!!
MGMT 4235.001 - Social Entrepreneurship (Mondays 6:30-9:20pm)(UNT-Main Denton Campus)
Will introduce entrepreneurial concepts that can be used to stimulate entrepreneurial behavior in individuals for the benefit of communities. The primary focus is on equipping students with knowledge and skills that are needed to develop viable socially relevant organizations or to grow entrepreneurial initiatives in not-for-profit organizations.
Spring Courses at the Collin Higher Education Center (CHEC) in McKinney
The College of Business, Department of Management will offer 4 classes at the Collin Higher Education Center (CHEC) in McKinney in the Spring 2013 semester. The CHEC may be a more convenient location for you to take some of your classes. It is considered an extension of the main UNT campus, so you register for CHEC courses the same way as you would for your other classes. And, parking at the CHEC is close to the building and is free.
