Stine Wins Larry L. Bunnell, DO, Award at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine Senior Awards Banquet

Matt Stine, DO, won $500 and a plaque as this year’s recipient of the Larry L. Bunnell, DO, Award at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine’s senior awards banquet.

Some of the qualifications a recipient must exhibit to win the Bunnell Award include: a rank in the upper one-third of the class; a grade of 83 or higher in the three month GFP clerkship; and an interest in entering general practice as a career choice as evidenced by acceptance into a residency in general or family practice.

Dr. Stine, a native of Fort Worth, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Penn State University and a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from TCOM. He will complete his residency in family medicine at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

The banquet was held May 19 at the Fort Worth Club.
