Daniel Jensen, associate vice chancellor for Governmental Affairs for the UNT System, directs political and legislative affairs for the Health Science Center. He also serves as liaison for the Health Science Center in relationships with state and federal government representatives, as well as key leaders in Fort Worth and throughout Texas.

With more than 35 years of experience in external affairs and experience in the osteopathic profession and a health science center, Jensen is a member of the executive committee of the Council on State Relations and of the Council on Strategic Marketing. He is active in the American Association of State Colleges and Universities and the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges.

Jensen joined the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in August 1984 as the executive director of external and governmental affairs and director of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine Foundation. In 1991, he was named associate vice president for governmental affairs and was promoted to vice president in 1995.

He served as director of membership services for the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association and spent more than four years working on various Texas election campaigns.

Jensen holds a Bachelor of Arts from Texas Tech University and a Master of Liberal Arts from Texas Christian University.
